The Aims of The Par 5 Foundation
THE PAR 5 FOUNDATION is a charitable trust run by local golfers connected with Henlle Park Golf Club in Gobowen. Nigel Roberts, Dave Hughes, Sam Williams, Alun Jones, Grant Litchfield, Pete Cartwright and John Litchfield (former member) set up the trust to provide financial and material assistance to the disadvantaged people or organisations of the Shropshire and border counties area.
Spokesman Nigel Roberts said that all trustees have been actively involved in local sport over the years and felt that it would be rewarding to either financially or materially assist the less than fortunate of the local communities by setting up a charitable trust.
